Work - No Home Office

No Home Office

I like working. I’m not afraid of working. I just need to find the perfect work environment in which to do so. Plus, if you have the ability to work from anywhere in the world from the comfort of your computer, whats the sense of working from HOME!?

I’ve been a free-lancer for quite a few years now but I haven’t had the freedom to work from outside my home office for a while.

You name it, I’ve done it all: graphic design, audio design, set design, set construction, web design, video editing…

Even before I realized it, working for other people and being tied down was not for me. That’s why I started my own business.

In November 2016 I told my boyfriend that I had had enough! I was spending so much time working on other people’s schedules for less money than I knew I could make and being sad about not doing anything exciting with my life. On December 1 I got my business license and since then it’s been all about me!

For me, No Home Office represents my life of adventure.

I’m still working and making money but I’m spending less time at my desk and more time in exciting new places! This month alone I’ve worked from Toronto (ON), Kenora (ON), and Winnipeg (MB) because I don’t need an office to get shit done!

Join me on my travels as I navigate the world of working from wherever. Maybe you’ll enjoy my stories of awkward encounters, the photos of my local “office”, or maybe you’ll learn a little bit and feel inspired to STOP working for others and START working for yourself. Either way, I stick around. I’m sure it’s going to be a crazy year of having No Home Office.
